The book is covered in orange cape morocco and inset with a Macassar ebony (wood veneer) goat which extends onto both the back and front covers. The tail of the goat is made of gold wires inset into the covering leather. The photographs and text are mounted on guards as issued. All edges are gilded. The book is titled in gold and protected by a chemise and slipcase.
