The book is bound in dark blue cape morocco and inset with sterling silver birds in flight on both front and rear covers, as described by the nursery rhyme Sing a Song of Sixpence. It is tooled and titled on the spine in palladium. The top edge is gilded and book is protected by a chemise and slip case.
