The book is bound in full grey chagrin goat skin with tooled mosaics in six colors of grey leather forming an exotic bouquet of flowers extending across front, spine and back of book. Consistent with the contents of the story the bouquet includes pencils of yellow chagrin leather, brick colored leather erasers and silver metallic leather ferrels. The vase is composed of marbled paper in colors of white, black and grey. Doublures are yellow suede surrounded by narrow strips of marbled paper, the fly leaves are also of marbled paper. The title is tooled in palladium on the front cover. The book is housed in a grey, half-leather drop back box with marbled paper sides and yellow leather edging. Box title is tooled in palladium on spine.
